Welcome to the Catholic Schools
 of the Diocese of Norwich

Although Catholic schools in the State of Connecticut have been in existence for well over 100 years, the Diocese of Norwich, located in Eastern Connecticut, came into existence on August 6, 1953.

 Sr. Joan A. O'Connor, CSJ, PhD
is the Superintendent of Schools of the
Diocese of Norwich.

 

The Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Norwich consist of 22 elementary schools, 1 middle school, and 4 diocesan secondary schools. In addition,
there is one private religious secondary school and a
residential treatment program that provides integrated treatment services to adolescent boys and young men who are not able to function in their home community due to combinations of behavioral, emotional, family, and educational problems.  

The total population of our schools numbers about 5,500 students.
